Creating a Resilient Heritage Sector for England
Created by Cause4 and delivered in partnership with the Arts Marketing Association and Creative United, from 2020 to 2024, Heritage Compass supported more than 400 participating organisations through training, mentoring, peer learning, access to funding, and a wealth of resources. This dynamic business support programme was funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Department Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport.
Heritage Compass Legacy
Whilst the core Heritage Compass programme has come to an end, as part of Heritage Compass Legacy, we are continuing to support the sector through a range of targeted activities.
Heritage Compass Networks Funding
We’ll be offering core financial support to Heritage groups or networks, led by participating organisations on the Heritage Compass programme. Deadline for applications: 16 May 2024.
Heritage Compass Strategy Support Programme
We’ll be offering tailored strategic support to former Heritage Compass participants through our targeted training programme – Strategy Support. Deadline for applications: 16 May 2024
Participating organisations
Across a four-year period, over 400 organisations joined Heritage Compass to strengthen their business resilience. Participating organisations joined from across the country, representing a vast range of sectors from community heritage to landscapes and the natural environment.
Programme activity
This innovative programme was designed to support the sector to develop essential skills in business planning, fundraising, audience development, leadership and change management, with participants benefiting from training, mentoring, peer learning, and a wealth of resources.
